Reminder…Our CHESS Membership & Activities Sign-Up is coming up quick! Tues., Aug. 5 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the gym of CCF will be your chance to fill out your membership form and pay your annual dues. There will also be many tables with sign-ups for field trips and activities for all ages. We will have the membership form posted on the Yahoo Group and on the CHESS website by Thursday of this week. If you are not able to make it on Tues. please print out the form and mail it to the address on the form with a check for your dues. You can also print and fill out the form and bring it with you on Tuesday which will save time. Sept. 1 is the deadline for collecting membership forms and dues. This is VERY IMPORTANT for our board members to be able to create budgets for activities for the year!! We want to be able to offer lots of fun activities for the kids!
We would also like to have some FINGER FOODS available for our sign-up night. We will only be using napkins so please don’t bring food that would require plates and utensils. If you would like to help with food you can just bring it to CCF between 5:00 and 6:00 on Tues night. We will provide drinks. Thank you!
We also want to make a BOOK SALE available for families to sell used curriculum. The sale will be on the honor system. If you have books you’d like to sell we will have a designated area where you can ‘merchandise’ your items however you wish (large box, laundry basket, etc.). With each book you need a small card tucked inside stating your name, the name of the book, the price, and a blank line for the buyer to sign their name. Place an envelope with your merchandise with your name on the outside and the buyer will place the card AND money inside your envelope. If you know a family that is new to homeschooling this year PLEASE pass on this information!!
As of June 1, 2013 we have four new board members and two board members have taken new positions.
Amy Maxwell – Chairperson (email@example.com)
Amy Markovich – Middle School (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Shelli Grant – High School (email@example.com)

Thank you for your willingness to serve, Ladies!
